Who are Clear My Space?
Over the last 30 years the family business has been offering a friendly and affordable service to anyone requiring removal of furniture, or rubbish from homes, garages, gardens and many more areas. Doug and Sarah have been in the family business for a long time but now are branching out on their own after learning so much valuable experience from Sarah's Dad's business, to offer not only a clearance service but also a collection and delivery service for anything from logs for your fire to bulky items bought from the garden or building centre that simply don't fit in your car. Doug was previously a class 1 HGV driver and Sarah is an acting paramedic so have plenty of experience in driving, haulage and friendly professional caring service.
What do you do?
We do complete or part house and office clearances, remove metal, rubbish clearance – recycling as many items as possible, remove and destroy confidential papers and hard drives, a man and a van service and much more.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Cowfold, West Sussex, and cover all the Horsham area, Haywards Heath, Henfield, Partridge Green, other surrounding villages and further afield when necessary.
I have some items to sell, what do I do?
Give us a call! Or send us images of the items you wish to sell via WhatsApp to 07897 590510. We will get back to you and give you a free no obligation valuation. Should you decide you are happy with the valuation we will arrange a convenient time to come and collect. We are happy to collect single items or ‘job lots’ and offset the value against your clearance cost if you so wish.
What is a house clearance?
We offer full of part house clearances. So you could chose to have just a few items removed, a few rooms cleared or a whole house cleared. Our friendly, dedicated team will provide you with a free no obligation quote prior to commencing work and if agreeable with you we will begin work at a time convenient to you. Our house clearances include removal of furniture and rubbish, and offer same or next day service.
Why do people use house clearance services?
There are many reasons why people chose to have a house clearance – after the death of a relative, as a landlord whose tenants left items behind or if you are moving house or just spring cleaning, it can also be very time consuming and you may also not have the space to place a skip which can be very costly. The reasons why people have a house clearance are varied. At Clear My Space Ltd we understand that sometimes the reasons can be upsetting and difficult and will be fully respectful and as helpful as we can throughout the whole process. We work with letting agents, estate agents and solicitors to provide a caringservice that fits around you. We can collect keys and return them at the end of the job – of course if you would like to oversee our work, we would be happy to have you around.
What is an office clearance?
This could be the clearance of an entire office or removal of a few items. We also clear hotel rooms, shops and warehouses. This could be due to closure of a business or to allow space for refurbishment.
What is a man and a van service?
There are many reasons people hire a man and a van service. This could be to help you move house, collection of an ebay, Ikea or any other purchase, moving single items or delivering your artwork to a gallery or even heavy or palletised goods that you may have bought from a garden/diy centre. Anything you could need a van to do – we can help with. Hiring a man and van is convenient and cost effective. Our service takes the hassle of collecting a van, paying additional insurance costs and most of all the driving! Our experienced drivers are used to navigating country lanes, difficult driveways and busy high streets, and we have a large tipper van making access for bulky items much easier to take.
Why should I chose you?
We are a family run business with a strong reputation and offer a personal service to all our customers. We will consider any job and provide you with a quote that reflects the top quality service we offer and provides you with peace of mind that you are using a company who values your business. Why not give us a call to discuss your needs.
What jobs have you done in the past?
We have done a variety of jobs for private clients and companies. We have cleared hundreds of houses, flats, commercial buildings, gardens, garages storage units, and worked with many companies to clear offices, hotels and warehouses. Why not take a look at our services gallery page for some of the jobs we have recently undertaken.
Why do we charge extra for the above items?
When disposing of your goods, as a business we get charged for anything we take that can't be donated or recycled by other means. You can find these charges on the local landfill/council/.gov websites. Please be cautious when receiving a suspiciously cheap quote from some rogue companies who may fly tip your goods instead of disposing of them responsibly, meaning that if there are any items that identify as yours, you will be the one getting the fines. When collecting your goods we spend time going through the load and segregating items which takes time but we would prefer to avoid landfill where possible. We have a number of contacts that we use such as charities who take items such as books, furniture, toys, plates, cutlery, clothes etc. which we don't take a penny for. All paper, cardboard, wood, plastics and other recyclables are taken to the correct recycling places, but there are certain items that we have to charge for as above due to them having extra charges when disposing of them at the correct sites.
